On Saturday, October 25, 2014, Powell, Jackman, Stevens & Ricciardi, P.A. sponsored the 9 th Annual Walk to Prevent Child Abuse. We are actively striving to make a difference in the world and in our community, and have therefore taken this opportunity to be a part of something bigger than us. By sponsoring this walk, we have shown our support for The Children's Network of Southwest Florida and its work against child abuse.
This event took place out of recognition of the high rates of child abuse in the United States. According to Child Welfare, a report of child abuse is made in the country every 10 seconds. The 9 th Annual Walk to Prevent Child Abuse was held at Pelican Preserve in Fort Myers, Florida. The Children's Network of Southwest Florida held the annual walk in an act to raise both money and awareness of the organization and its efforts.
