Fraudulent Will Overturned in Court Mar 15, 2023

Mr. Ricciardi and his paralegal Catherine went above and beyond to help us with our dad’s probate case. They knew my dad well and took a personal interest in our case. We had a very complex situation that included the loss of my father’s personal and financial records and a contested will that was further complicated due to our family living out of state. We faced delays with our case due to law enforcement investigating the circumstances of my father’s death in a house fire and challenging the fraudulent will that was submitted by an outside party. Rich and Catherine stuck with us through all of it and, due to their perseverance, the fraudulent will was overturned in court. This was after the Cape Coral PD and the State’s Attorney abandoned their investigation into my father’s death and the fraud investigation related to the will and told us to take the suspect to civil court. Catherine and Rich personally helped us locate and reclaim assets of the estate that were stolen. Catherine connected us to a great resource to help sell the property at a fair price. She was also a compassionate listener and, at times, a therapist, and patiently coached us through the many stressful and confusing steps involved with closing an estate. We are so thankful for their support, and we know the level of service they have provided is not the norm for a typical attorney/client agreement. I highly recommend them!

Catherine Divito, paralegal for attorney Richard Ricciardi Jr., is WONDERFUL! We are not even a client, but she was so helpful in answering our many questions that we needed an answer to right away. She even took the time in-between meetings she was in to call me back and help give me the direction my husband and I needed! We may need the services of an attorney soon to close out a probate case, and we plan to call and use attorney Ricciardi for our legal needs. The main reason we plan to use attorney Ricciardi is because of Ms. Divito. This firm is very professional and I would give 10 stars if I could!!!

A month after I moved to Florida, my brother passed away, and I had to handle his estate at a time when Covid was rampant. Over the next two years, it was challenging and very frustrating to endure the seemingly interminable time to get over every hurdle. Fortunately, the law office of Powell, Jackman, Stevens, and Ricciardi provided guidance to ensure the settling of the estate moved forward despite delays and backlogs resulting from COVID-19. Most importantly, the actions of Catherine Divito, who worked closely with Mr. Ricciardi, were instrumental in not only keeping the estate settlement on track; Ms. Divito communicated with key government officials on a frequent basis to ensure my particular matter was properly handled. Ms. Divito was diligent and indispensable in keeping me informed and, most importantly, gave me the constant assurance to allay any concerns for a timely resolution to settling my brother's estate.
